The story
The T7.270 arrived in 2011 as the most powerful long-wheelbase model in New Holland's T7 range, and the name has stayed in the line-up through several updates since. Like every T6 and T7, it is built at New Holland's Basildon factory in Essex, which makes the whole world's supply of these tractors.
It uses a 6.7-litre six-cylinder FPT engine, which gives a strong power-to-weight ratio, with an extra Engine Power Management boost for transport and PTO work. The latest version adds New Holland's PLM Intelligence package, which builds connectivity and precision-farming technology into the tractor as standard.
Did you knowThe Basildon factory that builds it turns out more than 90 tractors a day.

About these figures. Current Stage V T7.270 PLM Intelligence: New Holland UK lists 191 kW / 260 hp maximum (ISO TR14396/ECE R120) at 2,200 rpm rated speed, rising to about 198 kW / 270 hp with Engine Power Management (EPM). Rated power is quoted differently by market: Terre-net gives 228 hp rated for the 2016 model, a US dealer spec gives 240 hp, an Australian dealer calls 260 hp 'rated', so rated hp is left blank. PTO and drawbar figures come from the 2024 OECD test (2/3 396, DLG Germany) of the T7.270 Auto Command: 175.37 kW max PTO, 149.4 kW PTO at rated speed, 151.9 kW max drawbar.
