Real tractors. Real sources.
Tractor Xray is a reference site for people who know tractors: specs, test results, photos and history for every model we can verify, and a 3D look inside the machine.
Where the facts come from
- Nebraska Tractor Tests. Since 1920 the University of Nebraska has measured tractors' real power, fuel use and weight. Our test index links every test to the original report in the university's archive.
- Published references. Encyclopaedia articles and makers' own figures. We take the facts and link the source; we never copy anyone's text.
- Photos. Real photos of real tractors from Wikimedia Commons, under licences that allow use, credited under each photo. Every photo on a model page is a real photograph of a real tractor.
How we check
Every figure on a model page has a source listed at the bottom of that page. Where sources disagree we say so and explain which figure we show. Where we don't know something, the box stays empty: we never fill a gap with a guess.
The 3D workshop
The tractor on the home page is an illustration made to show how a modern tractor is put together, part by part. It isn't a real model, which is why it has no badge.
